I met Congressman Mark Takano about 7 years ago as he was getting ready to make his run for the newly formed CA-41st congressional district. Congressman Takano recognized my personal commitment to the veterans of Jurupa through service in the VFW and Lions Club and appointed me to his Veterans’ Advisory Committee in 2013. I still serve today with members from across the 41st congressional district.
When I decided to announce my candidacy for the Jurupa Unified School Board, Congressman Takano didn’t hesitate to offer his support and endorsement.
